Fun on the Farm: Peter Rabbit

Join us when we read Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter.  Visit the Farmstead gardens and see if you can spot a rabbit while you are here.   Children ages 2-5 learn about themes through a story and a unique activity, enjoy a fun craft project and have a wagon ride. Fee includes one parent and one child.  Space is limited.  Registration will close end of business day the Wednesday before each program as long as there is still availability.

 

COST: $11.00 includes adult and child

Victorian Eggstravaganza and Spring Festival

April 15, 2017

Grab your baskets! Plano’s biggest historic Easter Egg Hunt takes place Saturday April 15th at the Heritage Farmstead Museum. Children are invited to hunt for more than 5,000 eggs on the Museum’s Lawn and in the North Meadow. The Museum grounds will be sectioned off into age-appropriate areas so everyone, including toddlers, will have an opportunity to participate. Museum gates open at 10:00 a.m.

In addition to 4 egg hunts staggered by age from 10:30 to 12:00, there will be demonstrations allowing visitors to experience the springtime excitement involving our sheep. Shearing, wool skirting, carding, washing, dyeing, spinning and weaving will be showcased. Concessions, face painting, wagon rides, a children’s craft, house tours, exhibits and historical activities will be part of the fun until 2pm.

Children are encouraged to bring their own Easter baskets.

 

Gates open at 10:00am

11:00 Children 5 years to 8 years

11:30 Children 4 and Under

12:00 Children 5 years to 8 years

 

Admission Fee for Ages 1-99 (kids and adults)

Friends of the Farmstead Dinner and Concert

Enjoy a dinner and concert on the historic grounds of the Heritage Farmstead Museum.   All tickets include dinner and concert. Proceeds for the event support Heritage Farmstead Museum's mission of preserving and celebrating agricultural history in North Texas.
