Summer Camp at the Heritage Farmstead Museum is an unforgettable opportunity for children to get outside, explore nature and connect with history. Campers will experience all the best of Heritage Farmstead Museum, exploring agricultural history, enjoying nature and creek life on our 4-acre historical site. Camp is designed to educate and inspire children, as well as build confidence, emphasize teamwork and maximize fun!
Activities during the week-long camp include learning about farm animals and assisting with animal care chores such as feeding, brushing, and pen cleanup; exploring Pittman Creek for aquatic creatures and fossils; learning how chores were done in the past; playing outdoor games; exploring the historic farmstead and creating crafts.
Open to students entering Kindergarten – fifth grade in Fall 2025. Week-long camps offer outdoor activities with a focus on history and farm life in the heart of Plano. Camp runs from 8:30am to 12:30pm Monday through Friday. Campers will need to bring a lunch and water bottle each day. A snack will be provided. Camps are held rain or shine!
Campers will be grouped by age (limited friend requests are accepted), to form small groups that are led by trained camp counselors, under supervision of our Camp staff.
Registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis, and camps often fill up.
