The HFM grounds are currently undergoing renovations. We apologize for the mess and ask that you please use caution while on the property.
Tuesday-Sunday: Grounds open from 10:00am till 4:30pm
General Admission: $3.00 per person.
Planning Your Visit
There are two options available. The grounds are open Tuesday-Sunday from 10:00am-4:30pm. Admission to the grounds is $3.00 per person, children 2 and under are free. This is an “at your own pace” experience and does not include access inside the Farrell-Wilson house or any of the buildings. A docent guided tour is available once daily at 10:30 am Tuesday – Saturday and Sunday at 1:30pm. A guide will take you through the Farrell Wilson house, around the grounds, and into the outbuildings. See below for more information.

Summer Docent Guided Tours May 30-September 6, 2016
Tuesday – Saturday at 10:30am
Sunday at 1:30pm
Fall through Spring Docent guided tour times beginning Tuesday, September 6.
Tuesday-Sunday at 1:30pm
Docent Guided House Tours – $7.00 per person*
Students and children – $5.00 per person*
Children 4 and under – Free
Museum members – Free
*This fee includes the general admission of $3.00.
Reservations should be made for groups larger than six (6) people. Call 972-881-0140 at least 24 hours in advance to reserve your tour time.
General Admission and Self Guided Tours
Tuesday – Sunday: 10:00am-4:30pm
$3.00 per person
Children 2 and under are free.
General admission includes a self guided tour of the grounds, animal viewing, and outside of buildings. Self guided tours do not include access to the Farrell-Wilson House, the Young House, or the School House. A printed guide is available.
The Heritage Farmstead Museum grounds will be closed to observe the following holidays:
New Years Eve, New Years Day
Good Friday, Easter Sunday
July 3, Independence Day
Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Friday
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
An assortment of books, historic reproductions and handmade gift items, are available in the Visitor Orientation Center.
A signed copy of the new book “Never A Good Girl” written by curator, Hillary Kidd, can be purchased in our gift shop or online.
Store Hours: By appointment or during the guided tour presentation.
