Summer Camp
Summer Camp at the Heritage Farmstead Museum is an unforgettable opportunity for children to get outside, explore nature and connect with history. Campers will experience all the best of Heritage Farmstead Museum, exploring agricultural history and enjoying nature and creek life on our 4-acre historical site. Camp is designed to educate and inspire children, as well as build confidence, emphasize teamwork and maximize fun!
Activities during the week-long camp include learning about farm animals and assisting with animal care chores such as feeding, brushing, and pen cleanup; exploring Pitman Creek for aquatic creatures and fossils; learning how chores were done in the past; playing outdoor games and exploring the historic farmstead and crafts.
Open to students entering Kindergarten – fifth grade in Fall 2026. Week-long camps offer outdoor activities with a focus on history and farm life in the heart of Plano. Camp runs from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday through Friday. Campers will need to bring a lunch and water bottle each day. Registration fee includes one Summer Camp t-shirt.
Camps are held rain or shine, so be prepared for the weather and the special activities each day.
Registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis, and camps fill fast. Due to demand, we ask you to limit your child to 2 camps.
We are unable to offer a waitlist as cancellations are rare. If an opening becomes available, it will show on the registration page.
