See demonstrators showing off their skills or crafts\, and take part in farm chores just like the Arable’s and Zuckerman’s. \n\nMeet local demonstrators and find out what important craft or skill was needed to live on a farm.\nDo chores the old fashion way – washing laundry\, plowing a field\, feeding the chickens\, and milking Buttermilk the Cow (mechanical milking machine).\nTry your hand at fair games.\nMeet the farm animals: pigs\, goats\, sheep\, ducks\, turkeys\, and Poncho the donkey!\nRide the wagon around the 4-acre farm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nActivities open from 10am-12pm. Farm open until 1pm. Bring a lunch and enjoy a picnic on the farm! \nAll tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Tickets that are resold will not be honored.\n\n\n\n\nPurchase your tickets online as events often sell out. If sold out\, no tickets will be available the day of the event or at the door. There are no third-party sales. Tickets only available with the link above. \nParking\nFree parking on Pitman Drive and east side of 1300 Custer (see map below). \nDo not park in front of businesses or private residences as they may tow your vehicle.

DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\nDress up in your cowboy and cowgirl finest for a Rodeo on the Farm! Run the barrels\, rope haybale steer\, and see a sheep roundup. Don’t forget to say howdy to the animals\, listen to a story\, and make your own rodeo craft. Come and lasso-up a good time! \nEach Little Farmer Friday is an interactive program designed for preschoolers and their grown-ups. Most appropriate for children ages 2 to 5 years old\, the program offers families the opportunity to hear a story\, make a craft\, meet the animals\, enjoy a wagon ride\, and have fun on the 4-acre farm. \nGates open at 10am. Activities 10am-12pm. Farm ground close at 2pm. Bring a lunch or snack to enjoy on the farm! \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAll tickets are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Tickets that are resold will not be honored.\n\n\n\n\nPurchase your tickets online as events often sell out. If sold out\, no tickets will be available the day of the event or at the door. SUMMARY:Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION\n  \nSummer Camp at the Heritage Farmstead Museum is an unforgettable opportunity for children to get outside\, explore nature and connect with history. Campers will experience all the best of Heritage Farmstead Museum\, exploring agricultural history and enjoying nature and creek life on our 4-acre historical site. Camp is designed to educate and inspire children\, as well as build confidence\, emphasize teamwork and maximize fun! \nActivities during the week-long camp include learning about farm animals and assisting with animal care chores such as feeding\, brushing\, and pen cleanup; exploring Pitman Creek for aquatic creatures and fossils; learning how chores were done in the past; playing outdoor games and exploring the historic farmstead and crafts. \nOpen to students entering Kindergarten – fifth grade in Fall 2026. Week-long camps offer outdoor activities with a focus on history and farm life in the heart of Plano.  Camp runs from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm Monday through Friday.  Campers will need to bring a lunch and water bottle each day. Registration fee includes one Summer Camp t-shirt. \nCamps are held rain or shine\, so be prepared for the weather and the special activities each day. \nRegistrations are on a first-come\, first-serve basis\, and camps fill fast. Due to demand\, we ask you to limit your child to 2 camps. \n\nWe are unable to offer a waitlist as cancellations are rare. If an opening becomes available\, it will show on the registration page. \n2026 Camp Sessions:\nJune 8-12\nJune 15-19\nJune 22-26\nJuly 6-10\nJuly 13-17\nJuly 20-24\nTimes: Monday-Friday 8:30 am-12:30 pm \nIf you need to cancel your registration\, contact Brushfire by May 1st with a request for a refund minus a $50 administrative fee. Failure to cancel by May 1st will result in forfeiture of fees. \nTo transfer to another week\, contact Brushfire by May 1st to request a transfer.
