August 2008 - “Meet and Greet Mules Bill and Pete” - The addition of Belgian Mules, Bill and Pete will further enhance the many programs and events that are held at the museum annually.
April 6, 2008 - Heritage Farmstead Museum
Spring Festival - The Heritage Farmstead Museum will celebrate its annual Spring festival on Sunday April 6, 2008.
September 2007 - Hewlett Packard Corporation - sent 20 volunteers and donated $300 to re-build a portion of the boardwalk surrounding the historic Farrell-Wilson house.
October 20th 2007 - Christ United Methodist Church - Make a Difference Day- 20 families come to volunteer on the grounds. Duck ponds removed, pens, barns and outbuildings cleaned inside and out windows washed, gardens weeded and harvested.
November 2007 - Greenhill School - sent 20 volunteers and donated $200 to purchase painting supplies. The student and adult volunteers sanded, caulked and re-painted one of the buildings that is located on the grounds and also hung Christmas decorations throughout the property.
December 2007 - St. Mark Catholic School - Four Girl Scout Troops - -Volunteered, decorated the One Room Schoolhouse and Young House and sang Christmas Carols around the Farmstead for the Lantern Light Celebration.
February 2008 - University of Texas - 20 student volunteers - Volunteers assist with grounds duties and general cleanup. Documentation and cataloging of the Farmstead
library.
March 8, 2008 - Garage Sale - Girl Scout Troop 503 - St.Mark Catholic School - Twenty eighth grade scouts and their parents, donated, solicited, sorted and sold items to raise funds for ongoing renovation and revitalization projects at the museum. Total raised was $3700.00
April 19, 2008 - Plano High School National Honor Society - 30 students help with general upkeep and cleaning of grounds and outbuildings.
June 3, 2008- Carter Financial Management -Corporate Team Building and Employee Volunteer Day - 25 employees spend 4 hours re-furbishing the Farmstead Gardens and completing clean up projects around the grounds.
August 30th, 2008 - University of Texas - 25 Student volunteers come to prepare the kitchen garden for fall planting, clean up and weed the grounds and outbuildings.
C Beyond Corporation - September 5th 2008 - Corporate team building and project sponsorship. - Donation of $1000 to purchase gravel for farmstead walkways. 60 employees will volunteer to re-furbish the grounds walkways.
